What does it cost to join?
This depends on the season and activity level of the group. Every member is invited to post and lead events as they wish, with the only condition that such events are aproved by the administrator. We don't host sales or marketing events.Members can plan everything from simple Volleyball, Hiking and Movie Nights to Pub Crawls, Progressive Dinners, and Scavenger Hunts, as well as week-long Vacations, Wine Tasting, and Theme Parties.

What type of people join Adventure Club San Diego and why?
Most people want to enjoy life, but don’t always know people with the same interests as they have. With ACSD, you are sure to find people with like interests because you are both attending an event that attracted you to attend. Other people join because they work long hours and don’t have time to plan get-togethers. Still others join because they are new to town, newly single or just want to improve their social or romantic opportunities. ACSD is the best way to meet people for friendship, romance or camaraderie.

Is this a dating service?
No. We are not a dating service. There are lots of websites and dating services that promise you the world, but rarely deliver what you are looking for. We don’t promise that you will meet the person you are looking for, but we will tell you with certainty, that if you attend events regularly, you will expand your social circle and give yourself a great chance to meet the type of person you are looking for.

Why is Adventure Club San Diego a better way to meet than online dating?
Finding that special someone seems cold and impersonal when you search for it online. Our goal is to get people together IN PERSON at fun events, where they can see and talk with each other in the real world. No outdated pictures, no inflated profiles and no games. With ACSD, you choose the events you like and then get to meet people with similar interests. Just be yourself, have fun and let romance happen naturally.

Does everyone in the group date each other?
No, not at all. Everyone has different reasons for belonging to the group. Many people do date and this is a great avenue for meeting people for dating. Many people meet their spouses in the group too. Others find best friends and others add to their circle of friends. Whether you come to meet that one special person or possibly a group of people to hang out with. ACSD can facilitate a healthy social life.

If I am shy, will I feel like an outsider?
Our group will make sure you don’t sit in the corner, after all, we all where new at the beginning, we will greet you at events and introduce you around, if that is what you want. Our members are very friendly and are looking to meet new people. We NEVER force introductions, but go by what YOU want. We will try our best to make sure you feel comfortable and get an opportunity to meet some new people.

What are the demographics of the group?
Most are between 25 and fifty three, and about 52% are women. As we do not ask about religion, race or other personal information, we just have the basic stats for you to get an idea of who is a member. Anyone over 21 is eligible for membership.

Are events extra?
Members post many  FREE or pay-as-you-go events. We also have other events that require pre payment. Each event has the payment information clearly outlined. Buying tickets in bulk or getting group discounts are one of the many advantages of being part of ACSD.
